Bountifield Releases Social Return on Investment Study
[Minneapolis, MN] – Bountifield International is pleased to present the publication of its recent social return on investment (SROI) study and analysis to demonstrate the social impact value of its programs for entrepreneurs, smallholder farmers, and rural communities. This research and analysis were conducted in partnership with Ecotone Analytics and sponsored by Zinpro Corporation.
An SROI is similar to a general return on investment (ROI) analysis but estimates cost benefits of social impacts that are not necessarily accounted for in traditional ROI of a business investment. The results of this study demonstrate that for every $1 invested into Bountifield programs, a $6.42 SROI is generated. Smallholder families and their communities see immediate impact in terms of improved wellbeing, greater economic opportunity, higher incomes, and increased nutrition.
“This valuable study really helps us to dive deeper into understanding the impact of our programs in rural Africa,” said Alexandra Spieldoch, CEO of Bountifield International. “In partnership with Zinpro, we can help millions of people living in poverty by providing them with tools and services they desperately need. This is so powerful as we work to achieve Zero Hunger and other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.”
This study was made possible with the support of Zinpro Corporation, the leading provider of animal nutrition solutions.
“At Zinpro, we work to achieve better health and wellbeing for animals and people all over the globe – so we appreciate Bountifield’s vision of an Africa that’s free from hunger, poised to feed the world,” said Rob Sheffer, Zinpro president and chief executive officer. “We are proud to support Bountifield’s work in helping rural entrepreneurs and communities efficiently process, save and sell more food.”
The study was conducted by Ecotone Analytics using industry leading methodology including both first-hand and secondary data from a thorough analysis of existing research of the programmatic impact areas.
